Why Refer
Why Refer/Cancer
The physicians at Red Cedar Wellness Center provide integrated medicine for cancer patients who are undergoing or are finished with conventional treatment. As you may know, up to 81% of cancer patients use complementary therapies while being treated for cancer, and up to 68% do not have their supplements or other therapies on record. Drs James and Martin have extensive knowledge of botanical and nutritional medicine and the expertise to safely integrate these complementary therapies with conventional care for cancer. Our therapies provide symptom management, nutritional and metabolic support for individual health risks and co-morbidities, and can promote restoration of health post active treatment. Additionally, our physicians provide ongoing surveillance and patient education to reduce lifestyle risks for recurrence of cancer.
Why Refer/Manual Therapy
Many patients with chronic musculoskeletal complaints do not achieve resolution with massage, chiropractic, or physical therapy alone. Dr. Bosworth-Patton offers osteopathic manual therapy (MT), a neuromuscular rebalancing technique for chronic structural dysfunction. MT can provide pain relief in a minimum number of sessions, unlike some physical treatments. MT includes but is not limited to strain-counterstrain, muscle energy, and cranial mobilization techniques. Finally Dr. Bosworth-Patton is trained in managing pelvic floor dysfunction resultant from pregnancy and childbirth, motor vehicle accidents, and trauma. Rather than isolated muscle strengthening or spinal adjustment, Dr. Bosworth-Patton’s osteopathic techniques treat the whole person to eliminate pain and dysfunction.
Our Mission
To empower our patients to create a balanced state of health that includes their physical well-being, emotional wholeness, and spiritual contentment.
Our Philosophy
We enjoy teaching patients how to take care of themselves using low-intervention, natural means. Our goal is to provide high-quality care for our patients in a respectful atmosphere, one that honors patient individuality. We believe that the physician is a service provider of healthy options, and that educating our patients is the best way to achieve optimum wellness.
