FAQ: What to Expect
Free Meet-and-Greet
We offer free 15-minute meetings by appointment with each of our providers. If you have never seen a naturopathic physician, are concerned about whether natural therapies can help your particular condition, or have questions about which doctor would be the right one to help you manage your health, then this option is for you. Call 425-451-0999 to schedule an appointment.
Patient Visit
Your first visit with a naturopathic physician will last approximately 75 minutes, and will include a detailed interview and review of records. It will cover a lot of information about your overall health. Please fill out a patient intake form and bring it in for your first visit. You can expect a complete physical exam at this time, and to go home with a treatment plan. Please bring any lab tests or imaging results you may have had performed in the last six months. Also, the doctors will want to look at all medications and supplements you take so that they can advise you about what you do and don’t need.
If you are coming for a Manual Therapy visit, please wear comfortable clothes or bring shorts and a tee shirt. Dr. Bosworth-Patton will do a head-to-toe assessment, then decide what type of therapy you need. Treatment is also administered at this time.
Follow up medical visits are 30 minutes long. Manual Therapy visits are 15-90 minutes long, depending on your treatment regimen.
Costs
Costs for medical, manual therapy, and acupuncture visits range between under $100 to $350 depending on the complexity of the visit. Insurance will be billed for our providers who are contracted with insurance companies. If your insurance does not cover our services, we require payment at the time of service. You are strongly advised to check with your insurance plan before your visit. You will be liable for payment of services if insurance coverage is denied. We are also happy to provide the proper information for you to submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement if you would like to do this on your own.
Products and Supplements
We strive to bring you the highest quality supplements available in the industry. All of our products are nutriceutical grade, and manufactured under the FDA’s standard for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Because there is limited regulation in the natural products industry, there are lots of supplements in the marketplace that either don’t contain what they say they do, or are contaminated. Many products simply are made of the cheapest materials rather than those elements that can actually be absorbed and utilized by the body. At Red Cedar Wellness Center, we take natural products very seriously because we know that the right products can help you attain optimum health. Your safety is of paramount importance to us.
Bio-identical Hormones
All of our doctors are experts in the use and administration of bio-identical hormone preparations. Bio-identical hormones differ from synthetic ones in that they precisely mimic the human hormones they are trying to replace. Being the same chemical structure as a human hormone, bio-identical hormones have fewer side effects than patients experience with synthetic hormone replacement therapy.
